~ 5/24/19 Day 7 ~

Nathan Miller

We went to Delco Park today and we heard from Rob Broley a local author. We went out and made some similes and metaphors. Here are some... "The water is like a mirror for the sky" and "The ducks herd together like cattle" and "The geese honk like cars in New York City" In my small world activity I picked a plot of grass I will show below and I viewed it from 3 distances and noticed more and more every time I really noticed that each like square foot is its own little self sufficient ecosystem. I saw grass while standing up obviously and I noticed that the grass was dying and falling to the ground where it grew up which was decomposing and providing for the new grass and the cycle kept going. Then I knelt and looked and the ecosystem became a little more noticeable but I will talk more about what I saw when I was laying on the ground I saw the ants that were living there and several bigger bugs like a spider or two.
