~5/16/19 Day 1~

Nathan Miller

When we took a trip out to the lake there were lots of green and very vibrant colors, the clouds contrasting with the baby blue sky, and the green that went for miles. We had to take four photos, and these photos were very eye-opening in my opinion I really got to see the world around me and capture the true beauty of the surroundings and this beautiful planet we are blessed to live on.

After the photos were taken and admired he had a three-minute meditation which really made me calm down and take in what I saw. When I was meditating I really enjoyed feeling the nice warm sunshine on my face, and the nice spring breeze blowing on my exposed skin. It really showed me what living deliberately in nature has to offer. The funny thing is I always didn’t like meditating and yoga when we did it in 8th-grade fitness so, I feel that shows the growth in me since then.

This STEMmersion seems perfect for me I am really ready to experience nature and take pictures of nature. I am definitely ready to release the stress and anxiety from my freshman year. Another great thing about this STEMmersion is getting to know other students I may not spend a lot of time with, and even spending time with the teachers who are really allowing us to have these experiences they are all really nice and respectful to all of us as young adults.
